About one year ago, I applied to be a 'meter reader' for the local electricity company.

This morning, their agency telephoned me to see if I was still interested.

Being here, many times before, I said ... "Did I provide all my details? ..."

She said "No", and when I explained the situation, her voice shifted from chirpy to formal and she explained that the company would not allow my employment, due to their 'policy'. Had it been 15 years ago, maybe then, but she wished me well in my search.

Ho hum.

I was in Magistrates' Court, yesterday, on a long-running issue to do with my, now-destroyed car ... adjourned ... more on Friday.

Mood: Resigned.
